Join Siân for a Meditation in Recovery Series of 3 weekly meditation sessions from Friday 14 July in the Lounge from 7.00pm to 8.00pm. Sessions will focus on The Ego – Friend or Foe?, Coping Mechanisms and The Importance of Self Study.  More information and to book is here.

Kadampa Meditation have a regular weekly Wednesday drop in meditation class at 7.30pm to 8.50pm, as well as longer workshops. All information and to book is here.

These school holidays, the Mt Eden Craft Market welcomes you with over 40 crafters showcasing their products and a prize of a $100 Countdown voucher for one lucky customer to win. The Mt Eden Wellbeing Market is here in the Hall and Lounge on Saturday 29 July from 10.00am to 3.00pm.

A Saturday Soirée with the Francis-Lee Duo is just the winter pick me up you need.  Join Dr Charlotte Francis (violin) and Gemma Lee (piano) on Saturday 22 July for a delightful evening of Mozart and Beethoven Violin Sonatas, and Old Viennese Dances by Kreisler. The Soirée starts at 6.00pm and is hosted by the Eden Arts Trust. Please email info@edenarts.art to book.

The free lunchtime live music programme Music in Eden by the Eden Arts Trust continues every Friday at 12.00noon.  Follow them on Facebook for regular updates.

Would you like to build your confidence using rat or possum traps? This casual drop-in session on Saturday 22 July from 2.00pm to 4.00pm in the Foyer is for you. Hosted by the Maungawhau Ecological Halo, you will receive a quick refresher, tips for success and some free peanut butter for trapping if you bring a jar! If you reside within the Halo area you can also pick up a free rat trap. The Halo project protects and enhances native biodiversity around Maungawhau Mt Eden and we would love you to join us in intensifying this community predator suppression effort. Those marvellous volunteer technicians from the Chinese Conservation Education Trust Auckland bring their Repair Café to the Village Centre again on Sunday 23 July from 3.00pm to 6.00pm. They aim to repair your small electrical appliances, furniture, clothing, general items, sewing machine, and computer hardware and software to prevent them going to landfill. The items must be small enough to carry in your hands and one item is accepted first to allow everyone to register. The service is Free (Koha welcome) and please bring your face mask. Like the for regular updates.

We have a Pātaka Kai here outside by the Lounge on Ngāuruhoe Street. A Pātaka Kai is a shared Pantry and Book Exchange – everyone is welcome to take what you need and leave what you can – fresh fruit and vegetables only please.
