With the holiday season upon us, we thank you all for your support of the Mt Eden Village Centre this year.
The Mt Eden Craft Market gives you two fabulous Christmas shopping opportunities this December with markets tomorrow Saturday 3 December and Saturday 10 December, both from 9.30am to 3.00pm. There will be a wide variety of unique, locally handmade products for you to browse and every purchase goes in the draw for some great prizes. Like them on Facebook or Instagram to view what is on offer.
The Mt Eden Methodist Congregation invites you to share Christmas Day morning with them with a service at 10.00am. The Congregation holds services at Mt Eden Church every Sunday at 10.00am with tea afterwards in the Lounge. The Fiji-Indian Fellowship worship service is also a special Christmas one on Sunday 18 December at 3.00pm. The Korean Congregation meets every Wednesday at 5.30pm and Sundays at 11.30am. Everyone is welcome.
Looking ahead to January, Kadampa Meditation host a Learn to Meditate half-day course on Saturday 21 January from 9.45am. Learn how to meditate and discover for yourself the inner peace and happiness that naturally arises when your mind becomes still. You will learn the basics of meditation as well as how to improve and sustain your meditation practice in the long-term. More information and to book is here.
A Pātaka Kai – Shared Pantry and Book Exchange – is operating at the Village Centre for fruit and vegetables and books. Everyone is welcome to take what you need and leave what you can – fresh fruit and vegetables only please. Pātaka Kai is outside by the Lounge on Ngauruhoe Street.
Support groups AA and NA continue through the December/January period. Alcoholics Anonymous meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10.00am in the Lounge, and Narcotics Anonymous will meet every Friday from 12.00noon in the Church or Hall.
We also have WW Weightwatchers here through the holidays every Thursday at 9.30am in the Lounge.
