September 2022

Dear all,

Our September calendar is packed with great reasons to get out and about in the Spring weather. We have a couple of concerts to highlight, markets, classes, support groups and more here at the Mt Eden Village Centre. Some events will be shifted to the Church because our Hall floor is being renovated but apart from that, everything is as normal.

All international stars in their own right, they combine for an evening to remember of music from Jobim, Djvanne, Bernstein, American songbook, Chet Baker, Stevie as well as original works. It will uplift, sooth and relax, then get you to your feet Brazilian style!! Tickets are $30 and can be purchased via email here or Maggie on 021 035 6296. Preshow BYO in the Foyer.  Artist Bios are Nanny, Maggie, Kevin.

We welcome back Swing Out Central swing dance classes every Monday evening from 7.00pm. After a year long hiatus they are back with swinging good tunes, great teachers, fun classes and happy times! Many of us haven’t danced for a while, so the mission is to ease back into it and focus on having fun and reconnecting. Classes are run in 6 week blocks, where you build each week on what you learnt the week before. Swing Out are kicking off with Lindy Hop Level 1 at 7.00pm and Level 2 at 8:15pm, with Ana and Jesse. Lots of information is here where you can also sign up. Yay!

For something slightly more sedate, we have Communicare here every Monday morning from 9.30am with their Seniors Friendship Group. There are Games, Speakers, Outings, Morning Tea and much more in a relaxed and very friendly environment. Come by yourself, or bring a friend or family member.  Everyone is welcome.  More information is here or call 09 631 5968. A $5 donation is appreciated.
