The Village Centre is a popular Wedding venue as our heritage Church provides a beautiful backdrop to your ceremony. You can also cater your Reception in the adjacent Hall, adding touches of your own personality to your special day.
Wedding photos can be taken against our gorgeous historic buildings or Mt Eden Maungawhau. Alternatively the Auckland Domain, Wintergardens, Eden Garden and the maunga itself are close by for your special photos of the day.
Weddings in the Church are $575.00, which includes access for a one hour rehearsal during the week before the ceremony and the use of the Church on the wedding day for two hours. The fee does not include the cost of a celebrant.
Please note the consumption of food and drinks is not permitted in the Church. Food and drinks can only be served in the Foyer, the Hall and the Lounge
Wedding Celebrant, use of the Organ
You are welcome to arrange your own wedding celebrant. If you wish to book a celebrant from the Methodist Church to conduct the service please contact Rev Tevita Taufalele, the Methodist Church Minister, on 09 373 2869 or 027 249 8221. To book an organist or discuss the possibility of bringing your own organist, please contact Colin Waters, Organist for the Central Parish. There is no celebrant charge for church members of the home church congregation.
You can hire other rooms in the Village Centre for your Wedding Reception. The cost of the Hall is $70.50ph, the Kitchen is an additional flat rate of $50.00 and your booking needs to include your set up and pack down time. There is a discounted rate for bookings longer than 5.5hrs.
We also have white damask tablecloths to use for a cleaning fee of $17.75 each. More information is available under Venue Hire – Rooms and Pricing. We can assist to put together the most cost effective package for your special day. Please contact us for a quote.
Please Contact Us or complete the Booking Form with your preferred date and time. We will let you know availability and touch base about other details. You are welcome to come and meet us to discuss all your requirements for the day and have a look around all our rooms. Once you are ready to confirm your Booking, we require a $250.00 payment (50% of the Bond) to secure it. The remaining 50% Bond and hire fee is due 10 days before your wedding day.
