We have lots of busy weekends for all ages at the Mt Eden Village Centre this March. With all our classes during the week as well, it is a great time to visit.
The much loved Artists in Eden day is on Saturday 18 March. Based in Essex Reserve and spilling over to the Village Centre, you can watch Artists at work creating stunning works from 10.00am to 2.00pm. This is followed by an Auction of these works at 2.30pm. Come along and talk to the Artists or watch an artwork progress from start to finish. Information about the Artists and the event is here.
Kadampa Meditation Centre are here for a half-day course on Dealing with Loss and Change on Saturday 4 March from 9.45am to 1.00pm. Losing the people and things that we love and dealing with unwanted changes in our lives is an experience that we often find deeply painful. Through learning the meditation techniques presented in this course we can cultivate a special wisdom that will help us to deal with the inevitable winds of change and loss in our lives. The Mt Eden Wellbeing Market is on Saturday 25 March from 10.00am to 3.00pm. Central Auckland’s regular monthly mind, body and spirit market has natural health therapies, advice and nutritional support, on-site massage, natural first aid kits and home remedies and much, much more. The Mt Eden Craft Market will be here on March 11 from 9.30am to 3.00pm. They have a diverse range of crafters, all with New Zealand hand made products. Like them on Facebook.
Village Music and Plus1 proudly present live in concert, award winning LA-based Kiwi singer-songwriter Greg Johnson, on Saturday 25 March at 8.00pm. 30 years since Greg first made his mark on the New Zealand music scene with his breakthrough single Isabelle, his melodic, story-telling songs have continued to hit the radios, charts and hearts of listeners nationwide. Greg will perform two sets of material spanning more than 10 albums and three decades. The concert is BYO, and fully seated. Tickets are almost sold out here.
Looking ahead to Saturday 1 April our popular Little Day Out event will return so mark your diaries and a special edition of our newsletter will have more information! We are seeking donations of children’s books for ages 0 to 12 for a book fest as part of the LDO. Please leave books at the Centre or email manager@mtedenvillagecentre.co.nz us and we will happily pick them up.
