October 2022

Dear all,

October has announced its arrival with a chilly blast making the Village Centre a nice warm place to be!

Join Hansel and Gretel these school holidays as they make their way home through the foreboding forest, discovering a gingerbread house whose owner they maybe should not trust …. Ladder and Thread Productions presents an original retelling of a beloved classic, featuring live music, physical theatre and puppetry. This magical theatre adventure is performed by professional actors and has been devised with children aged 3 to 10 in mind but will charm children and adults alike! The show is on Tuesday 11, Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 October at 10.30am and 1.00pm and tickets are here.

The Mt Eden Wellbeing Market will be here on Saturday 29 October from 10.00am to 3.00pm. The Market is central Auckland’s regular monthly mind-body-spirit market and is here on the last Saturday of the month. We know many of you enjoy seeing Peace and her team and enjoy their free, vibrant, friendly, health and wellbeing day. Facebook for more. The Mt Eden Craft Market is here this Saturday 8 October from 9.30am to 3.00pm. Facebook for more.

We have music and movement classes here at the Village Centre for babies, young people and adults. Join baby up for Kays Baby Sensory class, dance with Raw Dance, Swing Out and Street Swing, movement with Pform and Yoga and reflect with Kadampa Meditation.  Don’t wait for the New Year Resolution, it’s all here now at the Mt Eden Village Centre!

The Village Centre is a popular Wedding venue as our heritage Church provides a beautiful backdrop to your ceremony. You can also cater your Reception in the adjacent Hall, adding touches of your own personality to your special day. Wedding photos can be taken against our gorgeous historic buildings and Maungawhau Mt Eden or the Auckland Domain, Wintergardens, Eden Garden and the maunga itself are close by. Visit our website for information.

Looking ahead to November, Village Music presents The Nairobi Trio on Friday 4 November at 8.00pm.  Always a great night out with tickets available here.

Ngā mihi
