If you are a bus user, there are some changes coming to bus routes in the area, including the OuterLink, the 64 and the 650. Auckland Transport will be at the Centre this Saturday 2 November between 11.00am and 2.00pm. Find your Dyslexic Strength with Dean Bragonier and Noticeability on Monday 4 November from 9.30am to 1.00pm. Dyslexia has so many associated strengths and Dean is on a mission to help students with dyslexia realise their hidden strengths so they can step into their true potential. In this workshop students will have the opportunity to workshop ideas that cater to the neurological strengths of the dyslexic mind. More information and to book is here.
For the VillageMusic Finalé Soirée of 2024, we go to classic Rhythm & Blues and The Flaming Mudcats are the real deal. These guys are well known to many of you, and it is with particular pleasure that they return to our old Hall after many years of absence. This will also be the first opportunity for people to get hold of their 15-year Anniversary collector’s Vinyl Album “Black Limousine”. The Holistic Wellness Connection is here in the Hall on Wednesday 20 November from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Specialists in massage, sciatica and spine alignment, neck and shoulder pain, and skin mapping and inner health will talk about their area of expertise. The friendliest little Cuban Dance Festival is hosting a Salsa Tumbao Party here at the Village Centre on Saturday 23 November from 7.00pm. Javiera and Gustavo will kick things off with a funky and fun Rueda workshop at 7.30pm. Then Cuban band Ke Lo Ke will be on stage bringing you their unique vibe. Meet amazing people, Dance to crazy cool rhythms, more about the Party and the Festival at the Salsa Tumbao website or Facebook.
The Artists in Eden Christmas Special will be here on Saturday 23 November from 10.00am to 2.00pm. The day will include sale of gorgeous small artworks as well as the traditional Artists in Eden vibe of artists at work and live music during the day. Find treasures by longstanding favourites such as Peter Gibson Smith, Claudia Pond Eyley and John Horner, as well as artists from more recent initiatives such as the Karekare House residency programme and annual Art Schools Award. The Mt Eden Wellbeing Market is in the Hall and Lounge on Saturday 30 November from 10.00am to 3.00pm and is Central Auckland’s regular monthly mind, body and spirit market. The Timeless Preloved Fashion Market is here on the same day same time and has a focus on preloved, retro and vintage clothing and accessories. Both markets are here on the last Saturday of every month but this is their last market for 2024!
