February 2025

Dear all,

Happy New Year wishes from us at the Mt Eden Village Centre. We look forward to welcoming you back this February for events and classes!

We have the Auckland Somatic Dance Collective here tonight 31 January and Friday 21 February at 6.45pm. Start your new year off with a bang! Somatic dance is a guided free form movement journey deep into the layers of the body, supported by a carefully curated soundscape in a non judgemental space. Auckland Somatic Dance are a collective of certified somatic dance facilitators and DJ’s who regularly offer dances in Auckland. Follow them on Facebook here.

When we look at the world around us, we might sometimes feel despondent or discouraged. At this half day Living Positively in a Trouble World course this Saturday 1 February with Kadampa Meditation, learn how to transform difficulties into opportunities for growth and happiness. Learn practical meditations and skilful ways of thinking that enable you to identify and challenge negative thoughts and replace them with positive states of mind such as compassion, wisdom, and love. More information and to book.

The first Mt Eden Village Craft Market of 2025 is here on Saturday 8 February from 9.30am to 3.00pm. The Market is an amazing NZ Handmade market with talented and passionate crafters you will enjoy meeting and admiring. They have a win a $50 voucher offer so there is an extra incentive to shop local and shop NZ Handmade to support our community. More information is here.

The much loved Eden Arts Music in Eden starts back on Friday 14 February at 12.00noon.
