June 2024

Dear all,

Pop in for photography and music this June to ward off the winter blues, and stop by for other events and classes.

The youth photographers of IMAgEN8 believe that human wellbeing is more important than artificial intelligence. They believe that real photography has significant benefits for students and the community. The youth of IMAgEN8 are 8 – 18 so come and see what they have to say through their images and words. The exhibition opens at 9.00am on Monday 10 June and closes 2.00pm Saturday 22 June. Opening hours are 9.00am – 1.00pm Monday to Friday and 10.00am – 2.00pm Saturday and Sunday. Event information is here.

Everything is unique at the Mt Eden Craft Market which is here on Saturday 8 June from 9.30am to 3.00pm. This is a great opportunity to support local craftspeople and find loads of beautiful handmade treasures and tasty treats, perfect for yourself or to gift. Come and enjoy the market, support New Zealand businesses and help them grow. Facebook for more information.

VillageMusic is especially pleased to bring Matt Joe Gow and Kerryn Fields to the Hall for the 4th winter soirée of the year on Friday 14 June at 8.00pm. Discover the irresistible charm of this Kiwi Americana Folk duo with multiple awards to their names. Their recent highly anticipated album “I Remember You” was written on the road and features a strong connection to Aotearoa. As with all VillageMusic Soirées… bring Friends, bring family, bring your ears, BYO and settle in for a good listen. Tickets are here.

There will also be a mini Photoshoot in class. Bookings are essential here for these very popular baby classes.  Baby Sensory also have regular Tuesday morning classes here at the Village Centre.

At this course, Resident Teacher Kelsang Lachpa will explain Buddha’s teachings on the process and meaning of death. Such an understanding makes every moment of our life meaningful now and enables us to meet our death joyfully, without fear. More information and to book is here.

The Mt Eden Wellbeing Market is here on Saturday 29 June in the Hall and Lounge from 10.00am to 3.00pm and is Central Auckland’s regular monthly mind, body and spirit market with natural therapies, on-site massage and more.
