Join us for the Epsom Electorate Candidates’ Meeting on Tuesday 29 September at 7.30pm. Hosted by the Mt Eden Maungawhau Village Centre Society, this is a public meeting for the principal candidates for the Epsom Electorate. Each candidate will have 5 minutes to speak and when all have spoken, members of the audience will be invited to ask questions directed at one or more candidates.
Village Music is especially pleased to welcome The Loving Arms this Friday 4 September at 8.00pm. This quintet has been serving up a recognisably Antipodean take on alt-country-soul around Auckland since 2018, treating audiences to intimate evenings of stirring mid-tempo balladry. Kadampa Meditation are here with Refuge from the Storm, a course this Saturday 5 September at 9.45am. Buddha taught how all of our problems and unhappiness are rooted in negative states of mind such as anger, attachment, and confusion. Unless we learn practical methods to let go of these negative minds it will be impossible for us to experience real freedom and happiness, and we will find that we are unable to maintain a happy mind when things are not going well for us in life. The Auckland Somatic Dance Collective is here on Friday 25 September at 6.45pm. Somatic dance is a guided free form movement journey deep into the layers of the body, supported by a carefully curated soundscape in a non judgemental space.
