School holiday adventure is sorted with Side Quest taking over the Hall with The Stolen Serpent’s Eye from Monday 22 September to Friday 26 September. Your young adventurer will join an immersive course that emphasises storytelling and critical thinking, developing writing, artistic and social science skills as they go along with the fun! With great pleasure Village Music presents Nicola Mitchell & Friends here on Friday 19 September at 8.00pm. Nicola’s warm, magnetic writing “swells and tugs at the heartstrings, stirring more than a tear or two”. Winner of the 2025 Country Music Honour for Songwriting and one-half of the Tūi and APRA Best Country Song-nominated duo The Mitchell Twins, you will want to hear her in our beautiful old Hall. Join Kay for a Baby Sensory Father’s Day Special this Saturday 6 September! For babys aged birth to 8 months and 5 to 13 months you can’t beat this as a wonderful gift to bubs and fathers. We have the Auckland Somatic Dance Collective here on Friday 12 September at 6.45pm. Somatic dance is a guided free form movement journey deep into the layers of the body, supported by a carefully curated soundscape in a non judgemental space. Yay! We host another Date Night in Mt Eden Village on Saturday 13 September! The Mt Eden Village Business Association and Bricks 4 Kidz have teamed up to provide FREE babysitting and activities for kids 5+ between 6.00pm and 9.00pm for parents or caregivers dining at participating restaurants in the Village. Kadampa Meditation are here with Karma and the Key to Happiness on Saturday 20 September from 9.45am to 1.00pm. Buddha’s teachings on the law of karma give us a clear and practical explanation of why things happen the way they do and how we can begin to change our experiences. In this course you will learn how, by applying the law of karma, you can change your experience of the present, heal the past, and create a more fortunate future. Looking ahead to October and celebration of the International Day of the Older Person, join Tracy and Elin for Chair Yoga and a Fall Prevention Workshop on Wednesday 1 October from 10.00am to 12.00noon.
