We have a busy March here at the Mt Eden Village Centre. Join us for events and classes, and spend time in the Village cafes and shops for a lovely Autumn day out.
The Repair Cafe is here this Sunday 2 March from 1.00pm to 4.00pm (last item at 3.30pm). Organised by the Chinese Conservation Education Trust and supported by the Albert-Eden Local Board, this is a must attend event if you have a small item that needs repairing. Electrical appliances, furniture, clothing and general repair items are accepted if they can be carried in your two hands. One item per person at the start. Second item may be accepted later. The much loved Artists in Eden day is here on Saturday 15 March. Based in the Village Centre and spilling outside, you can watch Artists at work creating stunning artworks from 10.00am to 2.00pm followed by an Auction of these works at 2.30pm. Come along and talk to the Artists or watch an artwork progress from start to finish. Around 40 visual artists take part and there are children’s art activities, live music and a great raffle. We love a good plant sale and we are excited that Johnny Jungle is back with their fantastic Plant Sale on Saturday 22 March from 10.00am to 3.00pm. There will be wild deals and steals but most of all there will be a wide range of gorgeous, beautiful plants that will look great in your home or office. See you there! The Mt Eden Village Craft Market is here on Saturday 8 March from 9.30am to 3.00pm. The Market is an amazing NZ Handmade market with talented and passionate crafters you will enjoy meeting and admiring.Find loads of beautiful handmade treasures and tasty treats, perfect for yourself or to gift. The Mt Eden Village Business Association and Bricks 4 Kidz have another Date Night in Mt Eden Village here on Friday 14 March! There will be FREE babysitting and activities here for kids 5+ between 6.00pm and 9.00pm for parents dining at participating restaurants in the Village. Registration is essential so visit the link here. Proof of dining will be required on pick up.
We have the Auckland Somatic Dance Collective here on Saturday 15 March at 6.45pm. Somatic dance is a guided free form movement journey deep into the layers of the body, supported by a carefully curated soundscape in a non judgemental space. Auckland Somatic Dance are a collective of certified somatic dance facilitators and DJ’s who regularly offer dances in Auckland. Follow them on Facebook here.
If you are aged 16 to 24, interested in politics, and would like to represent the ACT Party at Youth Parliament 2025, come along to the Party’s youth debate and voting meeting here on Friday 28 March at 6.00pm. You can also apply directly to be a member of the Youth Press Gallery where no affiliation with a political party is required.
The Mt Eden Wellbeing Market is in the Hall and Lounge on Saturday 29 March from 10.00am to 3.00pm and is Central Auckland’s regular monthly mind, body and spirit market. The Wellbeing market is here on the last Saturday of every month from February to November. The Timeless Preloved Fashion Market is taking a break this month but will be back on the last Saturday of April.
The kids have waited all year for the return of Little Day Out and thanks to all our supporters, it is back on Saturday 5 April from 10.00am to 1.00pm. We can’t wait to open our doors to the younger members of our community and see them enjoy the wonderful Free activities. We will email a special newsletter with more information soon.
