DESCRIPTION:Launched by Eden Arts in 2016\, the Mt Eden Chamber Music Festival has become a popular annual event on the Auckland arts calendar. It takes the form of three one-hour early evening/afternoon concerts in the heart of Mt Eden over the course of a weekend\, featuring some of the best professional chamber musicians in the country. Artistic Director violinist Simeon Broom (NZSO) grew up in Mt Eden and had the vision of creating a local festival here along the lines of the European festivals he has played in. DESCRIPTION:Eden Arts is delighted to host the Levansa Piano Trio who make their welcome return to Auckland on Tuesday 29 July 2025 at 7.30pm for this recital and CD launch. This CD\, their second\, is an album featuring NZ composers.\nThe Levansa Piano Trio are Sarah Watkins and Andrew Beer (NZ Classical Artists of the Year 2020) reuniting with international performer and competition winner Lev Sivkov.\nTickets are on sale now for this one-off Auckland concert which includes music by Martinu\, Claire Cowan\, Salina Fisher and Georgy Sviridov. Ticket includes a signed CD and glass of wine.\nViolinist Andrew Beer is the Concertmaster of Auckland Philharmonia\, and has been described as a “virtuoso soloist”. DESCRIPTION:Back by popular demand – musical duo Gemma Lee and Charlotte Francis! The Francis-Lee Duo gave a delightful concert for Eden Arts a couple of years ago and we welcome them back on Saturday 14 June in a new programme featuring Brahms’ Violin Sonata No.1\, Rebecca Clarke’s Midsummer Moon\, Tango by Albéniz/Kreisler and De Falla’s Suite Populaire Espagnole.\nFormed in 2016\, the Francis-Lee Duo consists of University of Auckland School of Music graduates\, violinist Dr Charlotte Francis and pianist Gemma Lee. Both have gained individual successes in chamber music throughout New Zealand and overseas\, and have performed together in various venues across the Upper North Island.
