March 2022

Dear all,

As our summer segues into autumn in March we are looking forward to bringing you more great and safe events to lift the spirits. Please always check with the organiser to make sure they have not cancelled. We also try to keep our website calendar as updated as possible.

Raw Dance is here after school three days a week offering a number of different dance genres for students from 3 years old. Your dancer will develop a love of dance in a warm and friendly environment with highly qualified teachers. For more information or to enrol for a Free Trial visit their website here.

The wonderful Mt Eden Village Craft Market is here on Saturday 12 March from 9.30am to 3.00pm. The market welcomes Zoe Burnett, a talented local young musician, who will be entertaining us from 10.00am to 2.00pm and gratefully accepting your support and donations. Congratulations to Beverley Tai, the winner of the $50 petrol voucher promotion from the February market. March’s giveaway is a fabulous baby basket valued at $100.

Their event in 2020 was a multiple sell out and they are back! The hugely popular Johnny Jungle Plant Saleis back on Saturday 26 March. Check out their Facebook page for more details and mark your diary. This is a great opportunity to add more beauty to your home and office.

A Pātaka Kai – Shared Pantry and Book Exchange – is operating at the Village Centre for fruit and vegetables and books. Everyone is welcome to take what you need and leave what you can – fresh fruit and vegetables only please. Pātaka Kai is outside by the Lounge on Ngauruhoe Street.

Would you like to join the effort to enhance native biodiversity around Mt Eden/Maungawhau? Pop in during Office Hours Monday to Friday 9.00am to 12.00noon and we can show you how to set a rat trap and identify invasive weeds.  If you live within the Maungawhau Ecological Halo area we’ll give you a FREE Trap and safety box.  Check here.

Vaccine passes for 12y3m and above are a requirement to enter the Village Centre. Appreciate your patience.

Best wishes

Sallyann Hingston & Ngaire Malpass
