DESCRIPTION:Kākā have been spotted on the Epsom side of Maungawhau/Mt Eden! Urban Ark-Manawa Taiao invite you to a talk by Auckland Museum bird ecologist Josie Galbraith about how native birds are doing in Auckland. You’ll hear about some case studies of birds returning to urban areas and learn some cool facts about the evolution and behaviour of our native birds. There will also be a chance to get up close and personal to some taxidermied birds from the Auckland Museum ornithology collection. Phil Simpson from Urban Ark will also weave in some extra info about the Maungawhau Ecological Halo\, a community project working to create conditions for native birds to thrive around Mt Eden.\nThe event is FREE but Registration is essential here.\n\nThis event is part of the Albert-Eden & Puketāpapa Eco Festival.

SUMMARY:Raising Extraordinary Minds Parent Group
DESCRIPTION:The Raising Extraordinary Minds parent group is a very relaxed and supportive meet up where parents can share their stories and experiences as well as learn new strategies and tools to help them on their parenting journey. Facilitated by growth coach\, Esther Roberts\, the group follows an informal format of peer led discussion based around specific parenting themes\, interspersed with sessions where we host guest speakers to speak on topics relevant to our children and our role as parents in the context of neurodivergence. \n \nWe meet on the last Thursday of every month from 7pm till 9pm. \n \nHot tea provided. $20 koha is very much appreciated. \n \nEmail esther@consciouschange.co.nz
